Romans 8:9-17

Two extremes: thinking you can earn your salvation and thinking you’re too evil to be saved.

-Romans 8:9-17- don’t have the Spirit, you’re not a believer. If you have the Spirit you’re gonna live, you’re no longer obligated to sin though you’re still gonna fight with sin/flesh. You’ll fight bad things with good things, death with life. This will happen because you’re a son/daughter of God. Sin is the biggest battle we have to fight, but we need to fight it with the biggest weapon there is: God, our Father. We are no longer salves of sin, we no longer need to be in fear of sin; God is our Father. We are His and no longer need to be afraid. We are His. If we’re God’s, we are worth more than to stay in the elephant graveyard (reference to The Lion King). He saved us from that. We no longer need to go back to it. Keep this in mind: I am God’s son/daughter; act like it.
