“For the New Year: How?!”

Philippians 4:13

We don’t have the strength to do it on our own.  -Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” That is how we can obey the Lord & do what we need to do in the Christian life.

1.       A promise that is hard to believe!

I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency. “All” need to be left in context Vs. 11-12

A)     Victory over situations Vs. 11-12

Though every situation we learn “a secret.” When we receive salvation we don’t automatically know everything. We have to learn to depend on Christ to do all things in the situation we’re in.

B)      Victory over self
-Romans 7:14-25

C)      Victory over Satan
-2 Corinthians 12:7-10-

2.       A position that’s hard to find! (I can do all things IN Him)

-John 15:5- “In Me” Are you IN Him? (not is He in you) –John 3:30-

A)     Eternal Life

B)      Exchanged Life

-Colossians 3:1-6- God never wants you to obey any commandment in your own strength. Every command, we need to obey in Him

3.       A power that is hard to maintain!

-Ephesians 5:18-
