Ephesians 1:1-3
Written by Paul. Written to Christians. He is writing this letter by the will of God.
Through = Avenue
Paul is walking the avenue of the will of God that is how we should be walking. Paul knew the will of God because he spent so much time with Him as should we. This letter is of authority. This passage is brought out by God. This book needs to be taken seriously.
2 Timothy 2:15 – scripture is profitable for teaching. The Holy Spirit does teach us but for us to learn we need to immerses ourselves in the word. Everything we say, do, and live should/needs to come from the gospel. To understand the Bible we need to apply the gospel. We have been saved from being a slave to sin to being a slave to Christ.
2) The scripture is profitable for reproof.
People who have the light and do not want it to be exposed (reproofed). They do not come to the light because they are trying to hide something.
