Hebrews 11:7
Two individuals who do not have compatible lifestyles, values, and beliefs cannot walk together. Noah was living his life right so he was able to have a relationship with God. Even when no one else could. It took a lot of faith to trust God, when he said there would be a flood. There was never a flood before; some people think that there was never rain before the flood. So to believe God when he said there was going to be a flood, as flood that was going to flood the entire world, Noah had to have a lot of faith. Noah had this reverence this fear. Fear that this flood was going to happen and reverence to God. Noah was focusing on the task at hand, at the judgment that was going to happen, not anything in the far future. He is focused on the obedience to God. God said to build an ark and Noah did it. No complaining, no arguing, just action. Because of the way Noah feared God, walked with God and the result was obedience. Obedience is because of salvation. God gave a command. Commands are to be obeyed and nothing else. Imagine the criticism from living a life obedient to God.
Obedience = walking by faith. Sadly many people profess a false faith.
We need to come to the understanding that we are clay in the potter’s hands. He is the director and we are not. There is no such thing as my desires or my directions even for non-believers. Is we are a Christian we are a slave to God and he is directing our life. A non-believer is a slave to sin and sin controls their life. Sin = Satan, Sons of Satan. Whether they were chosen to walk with God they still desired to walk with God. We as Christians need to have our walk with God be our desire. We need to be Christians what demonstrate that the actions of God are a reality.
