Ephesians 1:3-13
Blessings in Him
This letter is of authority they need to be taken seriously. God should be blessed because He blessed us.
Vs. 1-13 ~ Being in Christ
Everything is being done in Christ. None of this is possible unless it is in Christ. God chose us (believers). He did it in Christ. In a relationship with Christ, with Christ we also have a relationship with the trinity. You can’t begin anything without starting with Christ. His will must be our will. Christian = little Christ. It was intended to be an insult but how awesome is that, how much of an insult is to to be called after our Lord and Savior!
Without Christ things don’t make sense.
You did not choose me I chose you – God
He saved us from hell. He chose us to be holy and blameless. (Vs. 4) Holy = be different. He chose us to be different, to be dedicated to God all the time. Did Jesus have a building (to teach in)? Why do we center the church around a building? Why do we need a building?
Worship is praising God not acting.
Blameless (without blame, fault, error, defect) before Him.
Satan – Hebrew = accuser
God does not accuse us (believers) because of what Christ did for us. Christ is 100% essential &blameless
