Esther 3:1-6

“Mordecai: Coming Closer?”

1.       The Promotion Vs. 1

-Acts 7:51- (what the human soul can do to the Holy Spirit)

-1 Samuel 15:1-9- (Agagite) –Galatians 5:16-17- (Spirit and flesh)

3.       The Pursuit Vs. 2

4.       The Problem Vs. 4 & 26

When we are in union with Him we work properly. When we are out of union with Him we malfunction. It’s like we are an oil lamp without oil. He is the oil.

The flesh is always going to want more. –John 16:7-11- The Holy Spirit steps in saying enough is enough. –Philippians 2:13-

5.       The Perceivable Vs.3-5

It is going to be perceivable to others around you that you are different. Mordecai stood out in the world no matter what was going on.

6.       The Plan (that Haman has hatched) Vs. 6

He wants to stomp out anybody who opposes the flesh. The plan of the flesh by nature is to quite the Spirit which convicts. People want to do their thing and they don’t want God to interfere.
